Tropical, personal, and so much fun. Myrte and Dick’s wedding on Bonaire was all about barefoot luxury, Caribbean vibes, and celebrating with the people they love most. With INVAYA behind the scenes, the whole week felt like one big joyful adventure, from sunset cocktails to beach bonfires under the stars. We LOVED it all!
A tropical ticket to the Caribbean wedding of Myrte & Dick
The party basically started the second guests landed. They were
met with cold drinks, island tunes, and a party bus that took them
straight from the airport to Delfins Beach Resort. That night, they
kicked things off with a tropical welcome party at Club
Tropicana. Cocktails, tasty food, sandy feet, and warm ocean air.
The vibe was instantly set.
Sigrid and Fred didn’t want a traditional wedding. They were after something way more meaningful. Think connection, adventure, and moments their guests (and them) would never forget. So together with INVAYA, they planned an 8-day (!!) journey through Morocco that was full of surprises, emotion, and once-in-a-lifetime memories. Also for us!
5 days | 3 venues | 47 guests
The next day, the group headed to Jibe City for a surf session and
some salty beach time. Afterwards, it was lunch and laid-back
lounging at the iconic Hangout Beach Bar. There was
champagne on arrival, a surprise beauty bar pop-up, and by
sunset, the beach had turned into a full-on barefoot dance floor
with live music and a DJ. Later that evening, they rolled back to
the resort where fresh pizza and cold drinks were waiting.
It all started in Marrakech, where guests were welcomed with private transfers to the beautiful Villa des Orangers. Their boutique home for the coming days, complete with curated gift bags, handwritten notes, and even spa appointments.
They explored the medina with private guides, joined secret foodie tours, and fully relaxed in traditional hammams. Sunset rooftop drinks came with snake charmers, cocktails, and golden light—followed by poolside dining, live music, and heartfelt speeches that set the tone for the days ahead.
Day 2
The morning started slow, with peaceful getting ready moments
and ocean views. Myrte had a quiet morning with her kids, and
Dick spent time with their boys before everything began.
The ceremony took place out on the pier, floating above
turquoise water. Their kids walked down the aisle first, and Myrte
was escorted by her father, with live piano music playing softly in
the background. They exchanged personal vows, shared a
champagne toast with their guests, and soaked in the sea view
together as newlyweds. Dinner was something special; an eight-
course experience at Brass Boer with speeches, a surprise video, and a sparkling bouquet toss that had everyone cheering. Then
the party started. A surprise first dance medley complete with
Christmas hats (hahah it was a vibe), a private performance by
Xander de Buisonjé, and a packed dance floor.
The day started with a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Palmeraie, followed by a journey into the desert. At Scarabeo Camp, guests were welcomed by a Gnawa band, sipped mint tea, and lunched under the open sky.
The afternoon was pure magic: camel rides, quad bikes, mountain biking, poolside lounging, and after dark—stargazing with a telescope and astronomer. Dinner was next-level: lanterns overhead, live music, tajines, belly dancing, and stars in every direction.
Day 3
Then it was off to the mountains for the final chapter. At the breathtaking Kasbah Tamadot, guests slowed down with henna ceremonies, tea rituals, bread-making, mule rides, and a cozy movie night under the stars. The wedding day felt like a film: vows by the reflecting pool, live music, a sweet ritual with dates and milk, and a symbolic broom jump. Dinner was a five-course feast with local flavors, emotional toasts, a surprise fire show, and a dance party that had everyone on their feet. The final night was all about gratitude: rooftop dining, handwritten notes at every seat, a surprise quiz night, and hugs all around. This INVAYA experience was, also for us, truly special.
The day after the wedding everyone had a relaxed breakfast. Then
the crew set sail on a private catamaran to Little Bonaire (yes, this was
as amazing as it sounds!). There was snorkeling, lounging, and lunch
out at sea. That evening, they gathered one more time on the beach,
this time for a bonfire BBQ at sunset. Live acoustic guitar, everyone
barefoot in the sand, and the wedding video already playing on a big
screen. This was for sure an unforgettable INVAYA experience.
Days 4
The last day had that soft, in-between feeling. Everything slowed
down. Some guests hung out by the pool, others took one last walk
along the beach. Breakfast stretched into late morning,
conversations drifted, and the goodbyes started to feel real.
For us, it was one of those days where it all sinks in. The love, the
laughter, the little moments that made the whole week so special.
We felt proud, a little emotional, and mostly just grateful to have
been part of it all. Watching everyone leave with sandy feet, and
happy hearts... that’s the kind of ending you don’t forget.

One last day in paradise
Myrte & Dick
I got to marry the love of my life for the second time in one year. This time we invited our family and friends to fly to our favorite Caribbean island Bonaire to join us on our 4-day wedding experience. Thanks to our love, family, friends and the amazing crew like our wedding planner Vivian and everyone involved organizing, it was a fairytale. And now there are two less fish in the sea. It was some very magical days, we will never ever forget!
